Lily walked into the courtyard, a backpack slung over her shoulder. Class had just ended for the day, and she was eager to get in some studying. Unlike many students, she didn't mind studying, being a daughter of Athena. She had test in literature to study for, as well as a report to write, and a book to read. Not all due tomorrow, but she wanted to get a head start.
Pulling her books out of her backpack, she spread out on a bench, lying on her stomach, her feet kicked up in the air a little. She nibbled on an apple as she began to read.

Simbaiya's slim form slid into the courtyard with an armful of books. Grinning, she sat on a bench next to a girl who was laying on a similar bench, only stomach down. She had two reports to write, three books to read, and five tests to study for. Not only did she want to get a head start, but being a daughter of Athena, she loved reading anything. Also, the weird thing was, she wasn't dyslexic how most demi-gods were usually.
With a contented sigh, she lay on her back and held up the book on her chest, reading word for word while flipping the pages like a maniac to take in as much as she could.

Lily didn't glance up as she heard someone walk over. She was in the middle of a good part, and didn't want to stop just yet. She still had several chapters to read, as well as her other homework, including a story to edit for her editing class she remembered. She had a mild case dyslexia, and it usually didn't bother her too much.
Seeing the other person was a young girl, Lily glanced up, and could instantly tell the girl was her half-sister. She was usually able to tell who was a demigod, and who wasn't, though she could only tell the parentage of her half-blings. She glanced around to see if they were alone, and they were. "Hi new half-sister." She said with a smile, looking over at her. "Daughter of Athena too."

Simbaiya jumped when the other girl spoke, her blue-gray eyes wide and startled, as she quickly sat up. " Oh hi! " she said, blushing scarlet as she set the book half open and face down on top of her fifteen other books, not including her class books. " I'm Simbaiya, but just call me Simba. " she murmured softly, blue-gray eyes delicately fluttering in embarrassment as she clutched a schoolbook to her chest.
" Um, what classes to you take? I'm going through a journalism course. " she said, a bit louder this time than when she shyly had introduced herself.

Lily smiled again. "I'm Lily, though some of my friends call me Lil' on occaison." The girl seemed a little startled, so she must not have been the outgoing type. And Lily wasn't either. She was sort of in between. "Well, nice to meet you Simba." She said, setting her apple down.
Her eyes widened. "No way! I'm taking journalism too!"

Simba grinned, straightening up and pulling out a large, thick handwritten booklet. She was half way through her book, and so far, she loved the subject it was about. " Nice to meet you too, Lil. " she said innocently, her eyes stretching wide in delight when her half-sister mentioned journalism. " Really?! That's really cool that we take classes together! It's weird how I haven't seen you yet in class. I'm normally in the back of class, buried in a book but paying attention at the same time. " she admitted with a grin.
Holding her booklet out, she shyly offered her half-sister to read a few pages. " I'm writing a book....and..I wondered if one of my siblings would read it once I found out who was my sibling.. " she said shyly, twisting a lock of hair in her index finger.

She smiled. Her day had just gotten way better. Not only had she found a half-sister, she took the same classes, which mean they'd see each other a lot. "I usually get up near the front for some reason. And me too. I'm always reading when I have spare time in class. And sure, I'd love to read it. I hope to work for a newspaper when I graduate, but I may write in my spare time. Working on a book right now, though it still needs a bit of work. Maybe you can read it when I do some more editing on it." She took the book, and started reading.
"Wow, this is really good. You're an amazing author. Actually, would you mind reading my article? It's for the schoolnewspaper." She handed her the book back, and pulled out her article.

Jotting some words down in her booklet, Simbaiya tucked it away in her backpack neatly. " Sure! " she said brightly, eyeing the article with a hungry look. Grinning, she smoothed down her dress shirt, a sunshine yellow ruffle shirt that was long enough to be a dress. Staring up at the clouds curiously, a far away look appeared in her eyes before she began to think aloud. " Hmm... Our classes are tomorrow, but what could we do in our spare time...? Oh! Where do you live? " she burst out, her eyes cautious and shining. Simbaiya herself lived down at the Waterfront.

"Thanks." Lily tucked her hair behind her ear, dressed in skinny jeans, converse tennis shoes, and a light purple ruffled top. "Yeah, maybe we could do something today. And I live down by the Waterfront. What about you?"

Simbaiya grinned. " I live in Waterfront, too! " she squealed, hugging a text book so tight to her chest it hurt. " Ow... " she groaned, rubbing where her babies met. [ lol, boobs ] They were huge on her slim body. With a comforted sigh, she slid back on to her back side, gazing up at the sunny sky.

(lol) "You're kidding. Wow. So not only do we have the same parent, we're taking the same classes, and live in the same area." Lily said, smiling a little. "So, do you want to do something today? My homework's not due tomorrow, and I can do it tonight anyway."

" Wanna bet that we live next to each other? I bet 40 bucks each at the pet store for a pet. I Wait, make that 160 bucks each at the pet store. My foster mom was rich. " she snickered, rising and stuffing books into bags she had brought. Walking to the door to the courtyard, she stuffed the bags into her locker that was next to the door.

"Actually no, cuz I bet we do. Though it's not as though I couldn't afford it. My parents are rich as well." Lily replied, following her, and dropping her books in her locker. She put the ones she needed into her backpack, and slung it over her shoulder.

" Anyways, wanna head over to the pet store later? I've heard they have cute pets. " she said, her eyes shy as she pulled out a thick wad of bills. Stuffing the books she needed into her bag, the eighteen year old slung the bag over her shoulders and darted for the nearest hallway closest to the entrance.

"Sure!" Lily replied, following her. She ran outside to her volkswagon beetle. "Meet you there in a few?"
