Adam was rethinking coming to the mall so close to Christmas. Adam would pick dealing with Cerberus, Medusa, and a pissed off Zeus in the middle of New York’s traffic than in the mall. As Adam pondered on that thought of dealing with titans like that, instead of being in the mall. A pissed off Tamara would be far, far worse. That’s the reason why he made damn sure he was clocked out on time, and raced practically to his Impala to arrive here on time. Now he was patrolling the mall looking for his wife and was just about to call when he noticed a familiar blonde haired beauty with bag’s galore in each of her hands.
Adam couldn’t help but smile, striding over behind Tam and watched for a few seconds before speaking. “ You know I can help with those bags if you wish. I hate to see a woman in need and not receive some assistance, but my services don’t come cheap.”

Tam huffed, irritably brushing a stray lock of golden blonde hair out of her eyes. So far she'd wrestled with some other desperate mother in pearls to get the guitar in the bloody shop (what the woman wanted with the bloody thing she simply did not know...), dashed round the aisles of one of the cavernous toy stores attempting to find a present for Zac (and failing), trying to think of an actual present for Adam (that wasn't purely sexual...or socks...or a tie...), find a present for her mother that wasn't fine china related (they'd got her that last year) and try and think up something for Adam's parents. She was just observing one of the windows when she heard a familiar voice. She had to admit, she was a little surprised.
"Adam," She said. She hadn't thought he'd actually get the time off to be honest, seemed like so long...
She looked at him before she smirked.
"Why thank you and I'm sure they don't, will a nice pair of woolly socks do the trick?" She teased knowing full well the innuendo had been based on far more exciting things.

Adam smirked at the comment about the woolly socks, and knew all too well that she knew that would not do at all, but that won’t be able to shag right here in the middle of the mall. The thought has crossed his mind plenty of times before, but that would look really bad for a Detective of the Richmond force.
After relieving his lovely wife of her goods she brought today. Adam couldn’t help but wonder what was left to get, but still asked the question anyway,” Who’s left on the list to get something for?Trying to get his head in the game for this little trip to be over with and both home in time where Zac would still be out and about and the two could have some very….”NON-quite” time before their youngest got home.

"God, aren't husbands such useful things," She teased as she off loaded all the things, pulling the small shopping list out of her bag.
"Urm well there's Zac, my parents, I got a guitar for Sam, haven't got Clem anything yet, Sage I was going to get a large pack of condoms as a joke and a cookbook...which, let's face it, is pretty much a joke too, Semp, Amberlyn, Chicago and your parents," She said running her finger down the list.
"And seeing as I'm still pretty much convinced your mother hates me, I want to get her something nice and hopefully bribe her. Zac's staying with his brothers tonight (he was missing them poor love) so we should have time to wrap the presents and have an actual peaceful evening," She said pleasantly, as she popped the list back into its place.
"Oh and dinners on you," She teased.

Adam listen to his wife roll off names of who she gotten already and vice versa and made mental notes of everything else she said as he shifted his weight to hold the bags that his wife once carried. “ If dinner’s on me and Zac is out with his brothers for the night. I’m thinking a candle light homemade dinner for the two of us.” It has been a very, very long time since they had one of those type of dinners, If he remembered correctly to Adam’s knowledge that was how Zachery was conceived.
“As for my parents, my stepdad can shove it for all I care STILL, and for my mom,” Adam put on a sympatric voice and persona before speaking again. “Hun you have to understand something my mother wanted me marry just about anyone but an child of Aphrodite, and I mean anyone else.” Adam kept up the sympatric look for another second or so before it crumbled into him just smirking at the truth of the half-truth of the joke. Adam’s mother didn’t want him to marry another Demigod, and like Adam said a seed of Aphrodite was taboo. His mom briefly told him it had to do with stuff when she was in high school, but Adam didn’t give one flying rights ass about his mother’s approval of Tamara. He loved her and that’s all that matter, besides marrying or Tamara having her grandkids didn’t stop her one bit for loving them all.
“And if we’re going to talk about any parents hating in-laws what about your dad?” Adam asked raising an eyebrow waiting playfully for Tam’s response about her father.

Tam smiled.
"That sounds great although as far as I remember candle lit dinners usually end in the much the same way...Adam C. Brown...are you trying to take liberties?!" She gasped with mock horror despite the huge grin before she shrugged.
"To be honest I don't blame her, my sisters, oh my god, for the most part I just can't stand them, other than Chi of course but she has 7ft of Semp to deal with so she's got her hands full," She laughed.
"It's my stepdad that hates you, god bless his soul the bloody idiot, my dads too busy shagging some girl Clem's age. Always did love Richard just always thought my mum would always be with my actual dad...I remember when I first told them I was pregnant with Sam and Clem and he tried to push you into a shot gun wedding...good times," She reminisced happily.

Adam leaned in and snuck in a quick kiss because of Tamara’s very cute grin that Adam found himself thanking the god’s for being blessed to have the pleasure to see it for the past 17 years and hopefully many more years to go.
The subject quickly changed from Adam’s and Tamara’s plans for later to briefly over Tam’s sisters’ who Adam learned years and years ago that they were very off limits. To that of her step dad and at the memory couldn’t help with laugh at the memory of breaking the news to Tamara’s folks. “You remember he actually offered to pay for it too,” Adam added dodging a late Christmas shopper going about her business. “Of course he wanted to have it in Las Vegas, but details details.” Adam smirked enjoying the trip down memory lane.
On their travels in the mall; The Brown couple passed a dirt bike shop that was new to the mall that caught Adam’s eye. ” Hey you think Zachery would like a dirt bike? His about to turn 13 in a few months, and I think he would love to ride it around and show the girls a go” Adam stopped in midsentence and blinked a few times thinking about where that came from, and looked at his wife and said, “I’m sounding like Clem right now, and it frightens me. Tam it really does ”

"Yeah...every last penny including travel expenses, accomodation and even a shopping trip for everyone...his heart was in the right place, I mean really, obviously you should have already married me, I'm ridiculously gorgeous, duh," She said with an over exaggerated eye roll despite the smirk reaching up and returning the light kiss. At his next comment she simply burst out laughing, looking at him affectionately as she gave his hand a pat.
"I know love, I know, it happens to all of us," She said sympathetically before glancing over at the bike, biting her lip slowly as she frowned.
"It looks dangerous...and motorised..." She said worriedly.
"I don't want to get him the present that ships him off to ER with broken bones and a smashed in skull, plus, do we have the money? We could just get him a normal bike, they're safe," She said finishing by flashing a smile. She was probably most protective of her youngest son, most probably because he was the only one still at home and all honesty she missed the others.

Adam smiled and rolled his eyes at the mention of her comment. “ Lords knows I’m not the smartest tool in the shed Tam, I was waiting on the right time, after a few dates you know , see how well we were together. So on and so forth,” Adam smirked boldly taking another glance over the dirt bike shop and Adam thought more about what his wife said and he had to agree with his wife on some points there. “Alright a mountain bike for Zac. We both know his going to be traveling through those woods at a pace that a normal bike would simply give out on him, and then we’ll be still spending the night in the ER. “ Now for your step dad I’m thinking maybe a cd or record from when he was young….wait….did they have records and Cd’s back in the stone age?” Adam asked in all seriousness before cracking and giving into the smile that was hiding just underneath.

Tam smiled.
"I'm glad we did it that way really...then you knew for sure that I'm a horrible nagging bitch," She teased, kissing him again...now was so not the time to decide they might like a quick kiss and a cuddle, war shopping was to be had! Not only that but Christmas shopping. So she turned back, turning suddenly business like again.
"Mountain bike it is, Clem's old one's been too small for him for ages now," She said matter of factly before she gave a laugh nudging him.
"Don't be silly, he was born well before the stone age!" She cried before chuckling. "But I'm sure getting him a Beatles record (give him a good chance to recount that meeting with John Lennon...for the 50 billionth time) would be alright, if we have time I'll buy that elsewhere and see if I can find a limited edition something or other...I actually now I think about it, I've already got it, remember that thrift...thing on the side of the road when we were on that road trip last year? ...well that's money saved! I'm beginning to think another tea set for my mum is a good idea, she'll only complain otherwise and...your parents?" She said.
