it was night and it was cold but both things were something that skylar enjoyed plus the quiet added a certain special thing to the time alone. this was the last place in the world she thought she'd end up having a conversation with another but of course she was going to be wrong. she sat on the edge of the roof with her feet dangling over the edge and tears tripping down her face. her hands were put together and resting in her lap. her head was lowered and her eyes were closed. her tears splashed against the concrete below and every once in a while she wished it was her falling to the pavement but she fought away the thought when they came. she tilted her head back and opened her eyes. they filled with tears and emotion as she stared upward in pain. "i hate you. "

[/b][/color] she said softly as she sat there and thought about ares and the rest of the gods resting in the skies. she spoke only to ares though. sometimes she couldnt make sense of why she was so pained by his lack of presence but it stung so bad. all she wanted in her life was for her father to be there and help her through her hard times.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

seeing her tears fall from those beautiful eyes cut deeper than the longest of blades. it was an unbearable pain. his footsteps would have gone unheard and his quiet breath would be swept away by the wind. he heard her soft voice speak a few words, words of hatred. she hadn't changed. he quietly stepped up behind her and and gently placed one hand on her head and began to run his fingers through her hair. "It still pains me to see those tears. funny how i was the cause of so many. "

[/b][/color] he spoke softly and continued to run his fingers through her hair as he moved his other hand to her side. he pressed his fingers against her body and gently tan them around to her stomach. "so many nights spent crying. "[/b][/color] he pulled her back away from the edge and spun around to put her down on her feet. "and if i could take it all back i would. if i could change it all, i would. you know i'd take back everything wrong i did to you. "[/b][/color] he let her get her feet on the ground as she now faced him. he held his hand against her back and raised the other up to her face and gently ran his thumb over her cheek. He slowly wiped away a tear and smiled at her very briefly. "I missed you.. "[/b][/color]
