Water streamed down her bathing suit as Pippi exited the pool. She was wearing a one piece, purple and gray swimsuit, though she usually wore a bikini. But since she was doing laps, a one piece worked better. Being a daughter of Posiedon, being in water was perfectly natural to her. She could hold her breathe for an amazing amount of time, and when no human were around, stayed under for several minutes. She let the water drenche her today, pretty much because of the human students milling around. She had to be careful not to show off too much, or people would start getting suspicious.
Wringing out her wet auburn hair, she grabbed a towel, and went into the locker room to change. Coming out in jeans, and a tight long sleeve shirt, she headed over to one of the other sports fields, her hair still a little damp. She often did sports 2-3 days a week, since she loved swimming and the other activties were fun as well.

Clem had chosen the job of a lifeguard for a few simple reasons; 1) he got to spend his time eyeing us fit girls in bikinis 2) it catered to his sense of laziness - he didn't have to do much 3) it paid and, being the perpetually broke sort, it helped. He'd just finished his shift, a towel hanging lazily over one shoulder (it'd been one of those unfortunate days where he'd had to jump in and drag some little kid out) and a cigarette dangling out of the side of his mouth.
He was just in the middle of trying to light it when he bumped straight into someone. He started to mumble a response, concentrating on lighting the damn thing (lighter was dying...he'd have to scrounge the money off Sam...or Delilah if she was in a good mood...or even Zac) when he looked up. He paused before a huge grin settled on his face.
"I've seen you round the pool before, your one of them fish kids right? Poisedon? Got some kid running up to me the other day because they thought you were trying to drown yourself or something," He laughed. Being the lifeguard, he'd seen her around a few times, he saw a lot of Poisedon kids, after a while he could tell from how they moved through the water. It was a rare quirk of perception but after all, there wasn't really much else to do.

She jumped a little as someone bumped into her, and glanced up to see one of the lifeguards. Clem, was it? She wasn't completely sure. She laughed as he spoke. She remembered that little incident the other day. Having one of the lifeguards also being a demigod had its benefits in times like those.
"Yeah, that's my Dad. And oh, that day. I lost track of how long I been underwater. Usually doesn't happen, but I just got lost in my swimming. Good thing you were on duty, or I could have had a problem. I was getting worried for a second, till I saw he was going to you." She replied, laughing. She often went to the pool late in the evening, when hardly anyone was around. Then, she could stay underwater for a while, and not have to worry about any mortals freaking out. Swimming with tons of people around did have its downsides, at least for her.
"You're a senior right? Clem, I think?" She asked, feeling her hair to see how dry it was. It was still damp. She hated waiting for it to dry, but making it perfectly dry immediatly could get questions raised. She really needed to stop swimming at this time of day. It was so annoying having to swim like everyone else.

Clem chuckled.
"You should be more careful else I'll have to ban you and I like seeing you round the pool," He grinned. He wouldn't have banned her anyway, even if he was the type, he was only a shift a few hours once a day so enforcing it would make things kind of difficult. In any case, usually it involved running it by the slightly higher ups and if you were especially unlucky it involved paperwork. Clem found reading the tv guide an inconvenience and a bore most of the time, but hey, that's his attention span for you; as small as a knat.
"I am a senior, I see my reputation proceeds me, you?" He said, tapping the end of the cigarette.
"Want one?" He said waving it about a bit.

She smiled. "I'll definitly make sure to be. Being banned from swimming here would kill me!" She was pretty sure he wasn't serious, but being banned would be the end of her. Hey, she was a daughter of Posiedon. She was born to be in water. She was here pretty much every day after school. Whether it was doing laps, diving, or just splashing around, she could usually be found in the water.
"Yeah, I've heard your name mentioned a couple times. I'm a junior." She replied, then shook her head. "No thanks. Being an athlete, I can't really afford to. And my parents would kill me if they caught me smoking. But of course, if they found out about those couple drinks I once had..." She laughed a little. "Then I'd be dead. But what they don't know won't hurt them. And I trust you won't spill my little secret, right?"

"Smoking is good for you," He said waggling a finger at her. He knew damn well it wasn't good for him even if for the simple fact that his mother screeched loud enough to rupture an eardrum whenever she caught him smoking.
"I think it's good to keep one's parents on their toes, it's add some spice to any relationship. My mum'd flipping die if she wasn't nagging, with me around no one ever has to worry about. Plus parents have pretty much always done whatever they tell you not to do and they want you to do stupid stuff really because otherwise you'd be sitting in a library your whole life with no social life and die a lonely maid...but don't worry love, you won't have to worry about that other thing with me around," He smirked, throwing her quick wink and one of his lop sided roguish grins before he let out a bark of laughter.
"I won't tell if you don't," He said.
