Shiloh was born in Richmond, California to Harley Echo Celeste. She was miraculously healthy and beautiful baby girl since her mother didn't want her and had tried several times to terminate her own pregnancy, pretty much everything but abortion itself. From birth to about sixteen years old Shiloh was cared for by her step father Blaise Celeste. He had claimed Shiloh as his daughter at birth although he was not her biological father. She came to find out when she was a teen that her birth father was Hermes the Greek messenger god. She had known she was a persuasive little girl. She was hardly ever told no by everyone except her mother. Harley seemed immune to Shiloh's powers and no matter how much Shiloh had tried to charm her it never seemed to work. Growing up things weren't too terrible. Things were going good until she was sixteen almost seventeen years old. That year everything seemed to fall apart. Her mother, by some freak accident it seemed to Shiloh, became pregnant by Blaise. It was a shock to all of them and once again Harley was displeased but since it was what Blaise wanted Harley did everything to keep her pregnancy healthy. The day Kael was born Shiloh knew he had come to save her. She loved that little boy more than anything in the world. Once Kael was home, Blaise and Shiloh took care of Kael. Harley was hardly ever home and when she was, she was three sheets to the wind or stoned to the point she was practically unconscious. Blaise didn't appreciate it and one night, on a less intoxicated night, Blaise started a fight with Harley. He brought up how Shiloh was more of a mother to Kael than she was and how he wished he could take Shiloh and Kael away. Harley asked why he hadn't yet and he told her because he had made a commitment to her when he married her and no amount of drugs, alcohol, or cheating was going to make him leave his wife. Harley had had enough. She started screaming at Blaise and he turned to Shiloh, who was holding a screaming Kael, and told her to get in the car that Mommy needed time alone and that they were leaving. Shiloh did what she was told. She packed a diaper bag for an infant Kael and quickly loaded him in the car. As Blaise left Harley screaming that her bastard children were to never return and that she never loved him anyway Shiloh was staring at Kael in complete horror now hearing the words that no child should ever hear. Her mother didn't love her. Blaise drove off. He told Shiloh that everything was going to be okay and that he would figure everything out. The last words she heard before the semi truck swerved into their lane and hit their car were "Shiloh, daddy loves you and I will never let that woman hurt you again." After that she heard breaking glass and Kael and Blaise screaming and then it all went dark. When she woke she had something wet dripping down her face and she hurt all over. She couldn't figure out where she was but all she knew was she needed to find Kael and her daddy. She looked around and saw the car, completely demolished, not far from where she was. The car has been thrown from the side of the road and had settled in a crumpled heap next to a clump of trees. She stumbled towards the mass of twisted metal still not sure how she ended up so far away from the wreck site. Blaise was on the ground and she could hear Kael screaming somewhere close. She tripped and stumbled as fast as she could to Blaise's side and held his head in her hands stroking his hair. He looked up to her and somehow smiled and said "Shi, I need you to take Kael and take care of him. He needs you. I love you so much and I want you to know that. Take my necklace. I'll be with you always.You're beautiful and deserve the best. Daddy loves you Shiloh." After that he faded and she couldn't believe what happened. She shook him and screamed his name but she knew he was long gone. She closed his eyes and kissed his forehead and took the necklace from his neck and put it around hers. She has never explained it but she immediately felt comfort. She stood and located a terrified Kael and picked him up, comforting him. Around this time police and ambulances has arrived to the deserted part of California they were driving through and took Shiloh and Kael to the nearest hospital. Somehow they had been relatively uninjured by the crash and Harley was called to collect them. Since then Harley has come and go as she pleased but Shiloh left with Kael to find a place of their own. Kael was just over two and didn't need to be exposed to the abuse that Shiloh had been receiving from her mother. She adopted Kael as her own son and to this day wonders why she has been left all alone. She takes care of Kael better than herself sometimes but only trusts him with a local woman who has known Shiloh and Kael their entire lives. Shiloh plans to graduate and then find a more steady job then a cashier that will bring in more money. She loves Kael and hopes maybe one day she'll find a man who will take her and Kael in and love them like her father did although obviously in a different way.
