The day was bright, clear, and even better than that, Jacob had the day off. He loved his job, but it was still nice to have a day to himself. Having no plans, no one to meet, and nothing in mind to do, he hopped in his car, and started driving around.
As he drove by the amusment park, and caught sight of the Ferris Wheel, a memory hit him.
"Ahh, I'm going to fall!" Hannah shrieked, and held onto him for dear life.
"Not with me, you won't!" Jacob replied, laughing as he held her close to him. She grinned, and shrieked again as the car reached the top of the Ferris Wheel. Her eyes lit up in amazement as she gazed out past them. The whole park lay in front of them.
"Jacob, it's amazing." She said softly. They got lucky enough for the ride to stop there to let more people on.
"Isn't it? Ha, if only we could have our wedding up here, with this view."
She laughed, and rubbed the engagment ring on her finger. The Ferris Wheel lurched forward again, and she grabbed onto him as she squealed once more. Her reddish brown hair was flying around the wind, and her eyes had a light sparkle to them. She rested her head on his shoulder as the car slowly made its way back down.
Hannah had loved the Ferris Wheel. He parked in his car in the parking lot, and headed, memories of their days at the amusment park back home flashing through his mind. The cotton candy she insisted they buy. The games where he'd win her all sorts of prizes. And of course, the Ferris Wheel. He made a split second decision to ride, and headed towards it.
He had bought a ticket, and had made it all the way to the front of the line when his eyes started tearing up, and mumbling an excuse about not liking heights, ducked out of the line. Well, he couldn't say he didn't try. He slipped the ticket back into his pocket, and erasing the sadness from his face, walked off towards another area in the park. Since he was here, he figured he might as well do a few rides.
