Tam sat on the settee, wine glass in hand, the tv humming inbthe background. Adam had left early for work that morning and she was pretty sure he'd be late back and the kids were staying with relatives for a few days.
It was evening and dark outside the two story, run of the mill suburban house. The lawn was immaculate and (after some toil and a bit of swearing) she'd cleaned the house to state that suitably reflected the outside. She'd probably become a lot of things she never thought she would be; married for a smart. Children had never so much as entered her mind...well they had but in that way that one thinks of a wild anaconda - not the sort of thing you want to be sharing your home with. She'd never ever in a million years thought she'd be one of those stuffy house proud women who curtain twitched their lives away either. In fact when she was younger, her foresight had been...err pretty limited. She'd just sort of imagined glamour, if not with her own money then with some bloke who would be willing to throw money left right and centre just to spend time with her. She was an Aphrodite kid; everyone always wanted to be around them, it was part of what made them what they were; they were charming and uncommonly good looking.
Then there'd be the urn...slight hiccup with Semp, she'd ended up pregnant pretty much moments after leaving school and that'd be the end of that. She'd never wanted kids but she'd been unable to bring herself to get rid of it and she figured while she was going to have a baby she may as well do it properly so she pretty much gave it all up and the weirdest thing about it was that was happier like that. She found Adam and they had 2 more kids and despite the amount she grumbled and complained about it all, she loved her life.

The day had started out decent besides Adam being forced to come in early. The higher ups were being real asses about a few reports he hadn’t turned in just yet. It was during these rare moments were Adam wished he had his old teach job back. Yea he had to deal with a few less high ups, but they stayed out of his way for the most part. His students loved him, they learned how to deal with the issues of fitting into the world of mortals, Gods, and Demigods, and he even met his wife there at the school. Than he remembered why he took on that job, and why he did the same for this one. There were Demigod’s in trouble all around the world, not just in Richmond. There were Demigod’s who didn’t want to get mixed up with the other Demigod’s and refused to come to Richmond, and even some cases where they didn’t know them were Demi in the first place.
Adam wanted to help them, like many other Demigods like himself. There were points in time where they wanted and needed someone to help them. So when the division opened for Demigod police force, Adam jumped at it thinking it would be a step up in the right direction, not just for himself but his family as well. The police line of work made a little more money than a Teacher salary did, and the way Sam and Clem ate growing up. The extra cash flow of cash was needed.
Adam closed the door to his impala as quietly as possible. He wanted to surprise Tam by coming home earlier than either one of them thought and cooking some dinner for the two of them, and have some alone time. All the kids were out of the house for a while, and Adam thought Tam needed it, since his job has been cutting him away from his family.
Adam walked up to the door after gathering all the bags with the ingredients for their dinner and opened the door with his free hand. “Tam, you home?” Adam asked after shutting the door. His boots were the only thing echoing through the house. “I promise I’m not cover in goo this time.”

Tam sat up as she heard the door, frowning slightly before getting to her feet and wandering to the hallway. She looked at Adam in surprise.
"Well thank goodness for that," She chuckled.
"I thought you were going to be back late...oh and dinner as well...I'm starting to get suspicious, tell me now if you're having an affair and I'll try and castrate you a little more gently," She teased amusedly, leaning against the side as she watched him.
((Sorry, crap post x.x))

Adam rolled his eyes, but smiled none the less at Tamara’s teasing accusation of him cheating. “Nah nothing like that,” Adam maneuvered around Tamara in the hall way, but on his passing got a quick kiss on Tamara’s lips to satisfy his need for her for now. Adam went straight to the kitchen through the living room and dining room. A trip he could do blindfolded if he had to. “I thought since the kids were out, we can have a dinner for two, a little whine, a little bubble bath, and see where else the night will take us.” Adam called over his shoulder loud enough for Tamara to hear if she didn’t follow him.
Adam unloaded the items from their respective bags and set them all out. Onions, Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, garlic and so on. He turned his hands still on the counter behind him spread wide. His eyes were on his wife full of want, and desire that could match even the horniness of Aphrodite children. “What do you think?”

"That's good, I've heard it's very detrimental to a childs development to find out their mother murdered their father," She teased. After so long together, Tam knew Adam was unlikely to decide to run off, it wasn't even that she suspected him of it but she couldn't help it. When she was younger she'd been the homebreaker kind; never intentionally but too frequently. She'd just been flippant and careless and impulsive but perhaps it was that or a fear of karma or something but she had a nagging idea in the back of her mind that it'd bite her on the arse one day. She loved Adam and she loved her family more than anything and if ever there was anything Tam had always been aware of, it was her weaknesses. Adam was just one of them.
She kissed him back lightly as she passed before slipping into the kitchen after him, giving a laugh. "Please let's not fail to note the fact that 'kids' is already plural and it's almost entirely your fault," She smirked. "And if I didn't know Mr. Brown, I'd think you were simply trying to get into my knickers again which, if you're not careful, will lead to the further destruction of the, if I may so myself, excellent figure I used to own about 2 kids ago. I just don't think I can allow that," She teased, although she still moved towards him, kissing him softly.
"In any case, how do you know I even feel like all that tonight anyway?" She said innocently as she moved off, setting the glass she'd had earlier on the counter by the door, looking over at him with an almost playful smile.

Adam smiled at Tam’s teasing at killing him. Won’t that make for a very interesting story and news for their area. Adam stepped away from the counter still smiling at all Tam’s teasing. “Ah but you always,” He kissed her lips, “always,” he kissed her once more. “Bounce back every child.” Adam had one hand wiggled around Tam’s waist pulling her close to him. There body’s pressed against one another. ”But I don’t think were ready for another one running around here just yet.” Adam smile grew wider as he kissed his wife’s lips and patted her on the bottom.
Before releasing her, to go back to the counter. He took the vegetables to the sink. First he washed his hands, than the vegetables. “Then you shall entertain me by watching me eat.” Adam announced with a voice of an actor on stage. He peaked over his shoulder with a smile, and a wink to let his wife know that he was teasing her.

Tam gave an unlady like snort.
"Oh you liar," She chuckled affectionately, her hand sitting against his cheek. "I used to look like an aphrodite kid, perfect body and all, now I just look like...well...a normal woman, it's awful," She told him matter of factly.
"And there's no 'just yet' about Mr Brown, no more children," She laughed, nudging him playfully before giving him a light peck on the cheek.
"Oh my god, what an honour, being celibate, it's what I've always wanted!" She said with sarcastic enthuisiasm before she laughed, moving beside him.
"But really, I've been reading way too many kinky books lately and you've been working late way too often," She told him pleasantly.
